A multimillion-dollar redo of a Far North Dallas office building has wrapped up.
Houston-based Triten Real Estate Partners spent $4 million renovating the office building at the northeast corner of Belt Line Road and the Dallas North Tollway.
Rebranded as The Commons, the 90,000-square-foot building was constructed in the 1980s.
The building got a new ground-floor tenant with the opening of a location for taqueria chain Velvet Taco.
“We saw an opportunity to create a relevant and modern work community with well-located real estate,” Ty Lee, Partner at Triten Real Estate, said in a prepared statement.
Ben Davis and Shannon Brown of CBRE are leasing the building.
The office project is one of two new developments Triten Real Estate has along Belt Line Road east of the tollway.
The developer just announced plans to redo a block of buildings at 5495 Belt Line Road into a combination of office and retail space.
The more than 200,000-square-foot redevelopment will be called Work/Shop and will include two office buildings and 81,500 square feet of retail space.
The property on the west side of Prestonwood Country Club includes several existing retail buildings and two three-story office buildings overlooking the golf course.
