Openings to Look Forward to at M-K-T in 2022

Houston, December 17, 2021 —M-K-T is closing the year with a long list of successfully opened retail offerings and corporate HQs, a calendar of well-attended community events, a growing following of fans and visitors, and plenty of new buzz-worthy restaurants, chic stores and wellness concepts ready to launch in 2022.

M-K-T is bringing the heat in early 2022 as it gears to open Mala Sichuan Bistro, a Houston-famed Chinese bistro serving widely acclaimed traditional spicy Sichuan dishes. Mala teamed up with local design firm Gin Design Group to help facilitate traditional design elements of Sichuan Culture to the interior of the upcoming location which includes a full-sized pagoda roof, handmade by Sichuan artisans, floating above the dining room. The location will also feature a full bar with a comprehensive cocktail menu crafted by well-known Houston bartender, Chris Frankle. Mala’s M-K-T location will be their fifth in Houston and is found inside M-K-T’s building 4, next door to Highline Park, and faces the infamous Heights Hike and Bike Trail.

Newly signed concepts that will make an appearance in the new year include Venetian Nail Spa and Houston-based tea house YumCha. YumCha currently has two locations, one in Houston’s Chinatown and the other in Katy and is known for providing beautifully crafted fruit teas, boba teas, and impeccably sweet signature soft breads. Both, Venetian Nail Spa and YumCha, are currently slated to open Spring 2022 at M-K-T’s building 4.

Other previously announced concepts that will be arriving in the new year include Blue Sushi Sake Grill, a stylish, eco-centric concept focusing on earth-friendly sourced ingredients offering a diverse range of maki, sashimi, and nigiri, and Mayweather Boxing and Fitness, an inclusive, high-intensity fitness experience combining boxing, strength and cardio conditioning. Both are slated to open Winter 2022.
